Helen Wicks Works

Hello Community,

This email contains info about a film screening this week, a new piece of writing remembering a conversation I had with Quincy Jones in 2018, and a recap of what Wicks Works has been up to in 2024 as we look ahead!

My ancestral and choreographic research lead me to talk with Quincy Jones in his Bel Aire home June 2018. When he died on November 4, my conversation with him came flooding back to me and this piece started to write itself.

Learn about Quincy's start in Hollywood, film score history, and the origins of my nickname "Baby Lady" here:

We are raising an additional $7,000 to balance cover production costs.
