Zaccho's award-winning Youth Performing Arts Program (YPAP) is 35 years old and going strong!
More than 6,600 Bayview Hunters Point students have participated in our free youth programs.
Students learn aerial and contemporary dance, physical training, theater, and research on topics about the Black experience (i.e. the history of Soul Music, the history of Hip Hop, health and nutrition, environmental justice, and voting rights).
For 35 years, Zaccho's commitment to this work has not waned. We ask that you help us reach our $50,000 goal to continue providing free arts programming to the young people of San Francisco’s Bayview Hunters Point.
Your support for YPAP is a direct investment in the lives of BVHP youth.
Please support our mission to ensure that every child in our community has access to the transformative power of dance.
- To use their voice and allow themselves to be Heard.
- To allow themselves to be Seen.
- To access the tools to be Present in Themselves and the world.
Thank you, Joanna Haigood Founder and Artistic Director
