BANDALOOP's Quest for Awe From the Salish Sea to St. Paul's CathedralLife has been incredibly full at BANDALOOP. Here at home in West Oakland, we're entering the last phase of construction for the newly expanded BANDALOOP Studiosopening this November. Very soon we will be able to reveal images as we begin to invite our community for sneak peak. We also recently held an audition for the new BANDALOOP Training Group cohort, and were amazed to receive over 50 applications - the most we've ever had in our history. This is a sign of great things to come with the new Studios: expanded education and training programs, and 8,000 sq ft of dance floors & walls! (YES, we are only space fully rigged for vertical dance in the Bay Area!)
Meanwhile the company has been creating and rehearsing for the upcoming tour. Over the next month, we will be traveling to locations that truly express our passion for activating vertical spaces large and small. From a new cultural center in Port Angeles overlooking the Salish Sea, to a world class art gallery in Healdsburg, Sonoma, to Sir Christopher Wren's 300 year-old Saint Paul's Cathedral in London, our global quest for awe and joy continues! |
