New Format for Community Classes - Registration Now Open
This spring we are piloting a new 4-week session format with more dates and times available at a lower cost. We hope these changes will make it easier for more people to take our introductory classes and offer our returning students more flexibility to continue with intermediate classes. These changes are part of our commitment to provide the highest quality dance instruction and help our students achieve their goals.

These classes are a great opportunity for those of you who are interested in our wall dance workshops to acquire the foundational skills and safety knowledge that are pre-requisites for dancing on buildings with Aeriosa.

...Stay tuned...we will be announcing summer workshop details and dates in the coming weeks!

Aeriosa & Butterflies in Spirit
with Deaf Theatre Artist Landon Krentz

Scotiabank Dance Centre - May 18th @ 12pm
We are thrilled to announce our next performance: New Artists and Approaches in Vertical Dance, at The Scotiabank Dance Centre. This noon-hour show is Aeriosa's first opportunity to invite Deaf, Hard of Hearing and hearing people to come together and be our audience.

New Artists and Approaches in Vertical Dance will share works by company members, Deaf Theatre Artist Landon Krentz, and Butterflies In Spirit, an Indigenous Dance Group which performs hip hop, contemporary and traditional First Nations dances to raise awareness of violence against Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Two-Spirits.

Landon Krentz is a bilaterally profoundly Deaf ASL performer for theatre. Landon will be co-creating and weaving his unique practice and cultural perspective throughout the different works. The show will be followed by an Artist/Audience Talk. ASL interpretation will be provided.

We are grateful to our funders and partners for supporting this production. We acknowledge the support of the Province of British Columbia, British Columbia Arts Council, City of Vancouver, Canada Council for the Arts, Alberta Foundation for the Arts and the Vancouver Foundation

ʔUU: feast together
Aeriosa Dance Society is Proud to be an Official Tla-o-qui-aht Tribal Parks Ally.

Coming together as a community to share a meal is a time honoured tradition for ƛaɁuukwiatḥ. During festivals, family celebrations, weddings, and potlatches, we invite our honoured guests to share in a wholesome meal. It is around good food that our elders and knowledge keepers share their wisdom and their stories. We believe that as we take in a good meal, our hearts and minds are most receptive to the teachings we have gathered to receive.

In keeping with this tradition, we invite ticket-holders to join us at the Best Western Plus Tin Wis Resort in Tofino to enjoy an evening of ƛaɁuukwiatḥ style hospitality including traditional food, art, song and dance.

Through the evening, we will share some of the deep history of our homeland and our People. By understanding our history, we can better understand our relationship to this place and our responsibilities to the future

Location: Tin Wis Best Western Resort - Tofino
Dates Available: March 30 and 31 2023
Time: 6 to 9pm
