A queer-led dance theatre collective who make contemporary, multidisciplinary work. Tough Boys Dance Collective have createdDJ as Witness,exploring the dancers’ perspective on the multifaceted experiences within queer clubs; from consensual offloading to sexual expression, and the cathartic release of moving together. Experiencean abstract collection of club snapshots: from the intensity of the dancefloor to the intimacy of the smoking area.
A recent First-class BA degree graduate from The National Centre for Circus Arts with a BA (Hons) Acting degree from The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Their piece,Breaking Point, is an exploration of emotional fragility, resurrection, and recovery in people’s lives, combining aerial and movement work with theatre.
Multidisciplinary artist Jetsün and spoken word, graffiti and movement artist Cash’s pieceSoft Unfoldportrays the emotive journey of two BPOC queer individuals navigating trans brotherhood through dialogic movement. Drawing on their experiences of homelessness, undiagnosed neurodivergence and racialisation, this piece examines the complexities of queer friendship within the confines of marginalisation in London.
