Dear Blue Lapis Light Family,
In honor of Women's History Month we are shining the spotlight on some the women of Blue Lapis Light.
Jenn Vigh joined the Blue Lapis Light family in 2017 as a student and marketing intern, and has been a sweet presence both in performance and behind the scenes ever since.
When asked what advice she would give to her younger self or younger girls in dance today, Jenn shared the following:
"Dance has always brought joy into my life. Dancing with Blue Lapis and other choreographers in Austin has introduced fresh elements of freedom, strength, perspective, and intention into my movement journey, and has impacted how I choose to take care of myself and those around me.
My words of encouragement to offer teenage Jenn and the young dancers around me would be to rest easy, be patient but attentive, and trust the path you are on. If you take excellent care of your body and spirit, then you will be able to enjoy dancing for many years, learning more and more about yourself and your movement journey along the way."
This month and every month we are honored to have courageous and compassionate women like Jenn in our community.
