2021 Call for Entries Now Open!

We are excited to announce the call for submissions for San Francisco Dance Film Festival (SFDFF) 2021. In 2020, we presented our festival almost entirely online with great success, attracting a record-breaking global audience. Looking ahead to our October 2021 festival, we intend to host an in-person opening night program alongside our virtual festival. The exact structure is TBA and will depend on current health guidelines.

For our twelfth season in 2021, we continue to seek groundbreaking work in the field of screendance, and welcomes submissions of dance-based narrative shorts and features, documentaries, live performance captures, and music videos.

Submissions are accepted now through May 8th; submit before January 31st and receive $10 off. More Details Here.

Early Bird Deadline: January 31, 2021
Regular Deadline: April 16, 2021
Extended Deadline: May 8, 2021

FESTIVAL DATES

October 16 - 31, streaming as a virtual festival with TBA in-person events.

SUBMISSION CATEGORIES

All dance-based films of any style or length will be considered; head to Film Freeway for category details.

Best Documentary ($1,000)
Best Live Performance Capture ($500)
