Inspired by the dreamlike paintings of Marc Chagall, THE VIEW FROM HERE is a remounting of Artistic Director Joanna Haigood's 2002 work that envelops the audience in the world of Chagall's paintings, contextualizing some of his recurring themes -- love, village life, political revolution, and circus

The wild and whimsical imagery in Marc Chagall's painting often touches children. From September 23-October 14 join Marie Walburg in an aerial dance and theater performance workshop for children age 7-15 that echoes Joanna Haigood's Chagall-based The View From Here, including using the set for the performances at Zaccho studio.
Family and friends are invited to come and see our work on the last Saturday at 2:00pm!
Join Marie Walburg for a series of 6 classes to deepen the individual movement and combine it into a little choreography.
Our main goal will be to find fluidity as we transition from one movement to another, to use the breath, to move as a group, and to develop an ensemble awareness in the hammocks. We will also continue to stretch, play upside down, relax and develop the connection to ourselves.
You don't need to be a dancer or an advanced yogi to come to this series but some Aerial Yoga experience will be helpful.
Drop-ins are welcome but not ideal. Please register for each class of the series individually on MindBody, using your class card.
Do you have skills you would be willing to share? Zaccho needs a tech booth constructed and reinforced in the corner of the studio. We will provide materials if you provide the expertise. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
