The company is debuting part one Kreiter’s latest creation, Freedom Comes When One Walks Through It, in collaboration with the San Francisco Library.” — Aimée Ts'ao for 48Hills Read 48Hills Article Listen to Jo Kreiter and Empowerment Avenue’s De’Jon Joy talk about FREEDOM COMES on KALW Radio “Freedom Comes When One Walks Through It is a dance-based public art project connecting public libraries—designed to freely nourish people and inspire belonging—with the institution of prison—designed for punishment, ostracization, and cruel indifference. It juxtaposes the best and worst of these two American institutions and honors how the soul gets free.” — Rose Aguilar for KALW’s Your Call Listen to Flyaway on KALW See Jam Info Here Jo Kreiter Teaching at Tuesday Contact Improvisation Jam  Embracing Disorientation November 10 and 17, 2026 Class Tuesdays, 6PM-7:30PM Jam, 7:30PM-9:30PM Finnish Hall 1970 Chestnut St, Berkeley, CA Finding meaning (and joy) when you don’t know what is about to happen.
