EADF 2026 - Top 5 Things Not To Miss!

1. Super Saturday 🤸‍♂️

Super Saturday (8th August) is a deep dive into your favourite apparatus, with extended labs covering vertical dance, low-fly harness, straps, cyr wheel, hoop and dance trapeze. A very special event this year is our Dissecting Aerial taster session, 'Bendy Bodies, Bendy Brains', with Carolyn Ailsa and Dr Jessica "Bendy Brain" Eccles - a fascinating look at flexibility and the brain, not to be missed.

If you can't make the full festival but still want your EADF fix - or even to explore it for the first time - do come along. There's so much to choose from!

2. Active Recovery Wednesdays 🧘‍♀️

Not everyone wants five days of classes back to back - so this year, Wednesday is your active recovery day. Swap your regular technique classes for Gyrotonic Movement, Lunchtime Yoga, Partner Stretch/Massage, or simply your usual warm-up and cooldown. It won't affect your price, and you can decide on the day based on how you're feeling.

3. Accessibility & Access Support 🧏

We're committed to making EADF welcoming for everybody, and our access support teamis on hand to help you make the most of your time with us.

We really want you to be able to make the best of your festival: to help us do that, please let us know of any access needs and/or upload an access rider during the booking process.

4. Find Your Aerial Family 🫶

EADF brings together professionals, hobbyists and complete beginners from across the globe - and a real sense of community along the way. Many of our tutors return year after year, and so do many of our participants, so there's a lovely feeling of reunion alongside a warm welcome for anyone joining us for the first time. Whatever your level, you'll be training alongside people who get it - and you might just make some friends for life.

5. Ice Creams By The Sea... 🌊

Worthing Pavilion sits right on the seafront so when you need a break between classes, the beach is just steps away. Ice cream in hand, yoga mats on the beach, sea views included - sometimes the best part of training is the rest in between.

Have A Go! Taster Day

Do you know of anyone curious about aerial but not quite ready to dive into the full festival?

Tell them about the 'Have A Go' taster day! Taking place Sunday 9th August from 10.30-3.15pm, this is a relaxed, friendly introduction to aerial, specifically for beginners. It's open to the local Worthing and Adur community as well as anyone keen to try something new. No experience needed - just curiosity!

Dancing With The Tree, Portugal

1 - 4 October

Of all the aerial workshops we teach on, nothing quite compares to DWTT in terms of its complete immersion in nature, listening to and moving in response to the forest, the peace, the calm, the space to slow down...it's utterly sublime.

Our June retreat sold out quickly, so we're putting on another one in the autumn - from Oct 1st-4th, arriving Sept 30th and departing Oct 5th.

With the leaves turning and the light shifting, it's going to be the perfect time to reconnect with ourselves and the natural world. 🍃

You’ll stay onsite at the main house with delicious organic and vegan catering throughout. And you'll have me and the wonderful Magalie Lanriot leading vertical dance sessions in the forest each day. 🌳

Free Mentored Places with Lindsey

As part of our funding we’re also offering two free mentored places for artists identifying as D/deaf and/or disabled to work with Lindsey. We’ll be announcing the short application process soon, so keep your eyes peeled if you think it may be of interest to you or any of your contacts. More to follow!

Irish Aerial Dance Festival

13 - 26 July

Our sister festival the Irish Aerial Dance Festival runs from July 13th - 24th, where the craic is mighty alright. Always so much fun to teach at this one!

And the fabulous Festival Director Chantal will be hot-footing it over to Worthing to teach at the European Aerial Dance Festival shortly after (full details in our Insta post).
