2024 Legs! 2024 is HERE and at Legs we’ve seriously hit the ground running!  MARDI GRAS Legs On The Wall are incredibly proud to be marching in the 2024 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade. Legs has a strong queer past and present, and we are proud to stand in solidarity with our Rainbow Family on our 40th anniversary year. Keep an eye out for our float on March 2nd, featuring 80s aerial antics from Catherine Wait and J Twist and ground-based shenanigans galore!  BIENNALE We are thrilled to be performing at the iconic White Bay Power Station for the Biennale of Sydney 2024! Hive of Industry is a new work from Legs, placing the human body within the to the industrial-scale aesthetics inherent in the White Bay space. Featuring performers Anna McCulla and 2024 Leg Upper Remy Rochester, it will be a spectacle of wonder, and we can’t wait to debut the show.  Friday 8th March - White Bay Power Station ‘Lights On’ Opening Night. Final release tickets on sale now Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th April, 4pm - EDGE White Bay. Leg Room We’re 2 months into 2024 and we’ve hosted 7 artists residencies as part of our Leg Room program: Cirque X, developing their killer queer circus/cabaret show TENDER for their Adelaide Fringe run. Combining circus and cabaret, 'Tender' celebrates themes of love, desire, and vulnerability through a queer gaze, we can’t recommend this show enough - March 13-17. Click here for tickets to Tender! Sabrina Muszynksi, a 2023 Leg Upper working on 2nd Skin, Sabrina’s solo work presented in the double bill DOUBLE ACT, at Brand X March 15 & 16. An exploration of visceral movement and Scottish Highland dancing. Tradition and innovation converge as two bodies intertwine in videography and live performance. Click here for tickets to DOUBLE ACT Phaedra Brown, also a 2023 Leg Upper, and collaborator Haley, working on a cross disciplinary work that explores the multifaceted experience of feminine friendship.  Dorothea Csukai and her collaborators Mim Wheeler & Robyn Simpson continuing on their 2023 residency for Hanging by a Thread.  Emily Lecky and team, integrating their vertical dance learnings before venturing back outside to film on Tasmania's striking sea cliffs. Glory Tuohy-Daniell, a proud Indjalandji Dhidhanu and Alyewarre artist centring her work around the expression “let’s just put this conversation to bed“. Reina Takeuchi asking the question: how can the body become a living vessel of culture, an embodied and breathing site of intangible cultural heritage?
