Aeriosa’s Mobile Production Facility has arrived!

We are thrilled to announce our new Mobile Production Facility is now on the road!

Aeriosa's new Sprinter Cargo Van functions as our mobile headquarters, supporting our free public performances and community programming throughout BC.

After 20 years of over-loading our personal vehicles,  it is awesome to be able to transport all our heavy rigging gear and bulky staging equipment in such a spacious, reliable, snazzy company vehicle! The stylish Sprinter does more than drop offs and deliveries. It is also our base camp that provides dry, convenient office and backstage space for our outdoor programming and tours.

When needed we can bring our own hand washing, toilet, shower and kitchen equipment with us,  making it easy to maintain good hygiene and feed ourselves wherever we are working. We are outfitting the van with portable power packs, solar panels, battery-operated lights to provide efficient self-sufficiency. The Sprinter will help us with our objective to expand our vertical dance performances and workshop to a broader range of communities and locations across BC in the coming months and years.

Help us share the news! When you encounter our new mobile production facility, please snap a selfie and tag @aeriosadance on social media!
Keep your eyes open: August 15th-20th, you will find us at
Blue Mountain Park in Coquitlam, BC.

RECORD TWENTY TWENTY

Zaccho Dance Theatre and the Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture are co-presenting the 5th San Francisco Aerial Arts Festival, August 19-21, 2022, and RECORD TWENTY TWENTY is on the program!

A Berlin Indie Film Festival award-winning film, RECORD TWENTY TWENTY is a labour of love by Joanna Haigood and Mary Ellen Strom featuring 16 aerial artists from around the world. Through the art of aerial dance and movement, these gifted artists tell a tale of heartbreak and hope during a time of chaos.

Aeriosa's own Artistic Director Julia Taffe appears in the film, dancing with an enormous tree skeleton on the beach near her home in traditional Yuułuʔiłʔatḥ territory. Her performance was captured on video by Colin Zacharias, Aeriosa's multi-talented Safety Director and Rigging Designer.

Chandra Krown's Vertical Dance Creative Exploration Video III

Please enjoy my short vertical dance exploration with beautiful Argentinian dance/circus artist Natalia Ricardi.

The two-minute video edit is the culmination of our brief creative exploration under a monkeypod tree in the sand near Makena Beach in Maui. I would love to open a dialogue, please comment on the YouTube channel if you have questions, feedback or wish to share what you think the jacket or sand represents.
