Gravity & Levity

You know it - the European Aerial Dance Festival, the UK’s longest running aerial training event, is back Sun 14 – Fri 19 August 2022 in partnership with the wonderful Worthing Pavilion.

And as a subscriber to our mailing list, YOU get first dibs on tickets before their public release next Monday! (You're so very welcome!)

You'll find all the info on the EADF dedicated website and, for the first time, you're now able to create your own personal timetable of classes, book and pay online too!

Book your EADF classes before anyone else!

EADF 2022 has an incredible line up of tutors, across a wide variety of aerial and complimentary skills, technique and creative classes, warm-ups and cool downs and all in the friendliest and most encouraging environment.

We’ll be joined again by some familiar EADF faves including Magalie Lanriot, Kat Cooley, Lee Clayden and our Artistic Director, Lindsey Butcher, alongside some wonderful old friends, including the font of knowledge that is Serenity Smith Forchion and fabulous newcomers Katharine Arnold, Kalina Suter, Lil Rice, and Alex Allan joining this wealth of international teaching talent.

As a disabled-led company and festival, the EADF prides itself on being an inclusive event. This year we’ll be working with inclusive practice tutor and mentor Aerial Mel Stevens who’ll be on hand to support participants and tutors alongside running their own ‘aerial safe space’ class.

We also have BSL interpreters, we welcome support workers and are keen to speak with everyone who requires accommodations so we can make your time as smooth and welcoming as possible.

We have 4 subsidised places available (offering the full 4 class per day pass at 50%) for people who identify as underrepresented in the aerial sector. Please see the Frequently Asked Questions section of the website for information on how to apply for a subsidised place.

Recognising the impact, demands and stress that the last couple of years have had for so many of us, this year we’ll be starting the festival with a 1-day workshop, 'Hanging By A Thread’ with dance activist Stuart Waters. Stuart will draw on his own experience to offer some thoughts, guidance and tools for creating safe spaces for discussion on mental health and emotional safety to support yourself, your team and community – bring it on.

We have two 50% subsidised places available on this workshop for people that identify as underrepresented in the aerial sector. See the Frequently Asked Questions section of the website for information on how to apply for a subsidised place.

10for10Again!

Our generous EADF sponsors FireToys are once again offering you 10% off purchases on their website. The premise is simple - use the voucher code "10for10again" at the check out when buying your gear or gifts at FireToys to get 10% off your purchase. FireToys then generously donate 10% of your sale to EADF!

In 2019, '10for10' raised a whopping £1400 and we're ambitiously aiming to triple this ahead of EADF 2022 so that we can update the gear and equipment we make available to participants and to provide access accommodations for disabled aerialists at EADF 2022.

Go on, It's a win win win situation!
