4-day Vertical Dance Masterclass

Join us for an exciting 4-day Vertical Dance Masterclass on the gorgeous convex walls of ACCA, 24-27 July 2018, led by Lindsey Butcher and Kate Lawrence.

Working outdoors daily in sunny Brighton, you'll cover:

dance and vertical dance conditioning warm ups
explore alignment, technique, guided improvisations and taught sequences on the wall
build and create your own vertical dance vocabulary
explore the peculiarities of running on convex walls, including unison work when you can’t always see your fellow dancers.

Masterclass attendees are invited to contribute to conversations and explorations around vertical dance as part of Gravity & Levity's ongoing Behind Closed Doors peer learning research project on 28-29 July, also at ACCA and completely free of charge!
