First vertical dance workshop in Croatia
28th – 30th April 2016
Paklenica National park
Teachers: Kate Lawrence, Marija Šćekić
WORKSHOP INFO:
Vertical dance combines dance with climbing equipment to raise the dancer off the ground. The vertical wall becomes a vertical dance floor and the dancer re-orientates their body. In this workshop we introduce Kate Lawrence, one of the member of VERTICAL DANCE FORUM, who will begin by explaining safe use of equipment and exploring the sensations of the suspended body. Then we will move on to learning specific movements and sequences. There will also be the opportunity to do some creative exploration. At the last day of the workshop, a public presentation will be created with short sequences created by participants under the guidance of Kate Lawrence, Marija Scekic and their rigging assistants.
