Transform your technical strengths into a personal artistic expression. Participants are invited to bring their existing work or to build a new work during the course of this six week workshop. About Joanna Haigood Joanna Haigood, Artistic Director, relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area from New York in 1980 and co-founded Zaccho Dance Theatre. Her creative work uses natural, architectural and cultural environments as a point of departure for movement exploration and narrative. Her works involve in-depth research into the history and the character of sites and often integrate aerial flight and suspension as a way of expanding dancers' spatial and dynamic range. Haigood has taught at the National Ecole des Arts du Cirque in France, the Laban Centre in England. |
