Feb 25-27, 2011
5:30, 6:30, 7:30 PM
Granville Island

Suspended high above the ground, four women invoke a ritual conjuring warmth and light on a winter night. Aeriosa performers Julia Carr, Lisa Gelley, Cara Siu and Julia Taffe cast a magical spell under the Granville Bridge.  Choreographed by artistic director Julia Taffe, Cold Hands Warm Heart Too is a 10-minute show created especially for this year's Winterruption Festival. Nine free public performances will play under the Granville Bridge.

POP UP DANCES - COME BACK, MY SUN
Feb 26 & 27, 2011
12:10, 1:10, 2:10, 3:10, 4:10 PM
Presented by New Works
as part of Granville Island's Winterruption Festival 2011

Road safety workers channel Elvis Presley channelling Italian folk ballads in his glory days! If it sounds confusing don't worry - once you add Aeriosa's exuberant vertical moves into the mix - somehow it all makes sense. 50 years ago these pop songs convinced Barry White to pursue a career in music.  Performed five times daily by Kira Schaffer and Meghan Goodman on the pillars under the Granville Street Bridge.
