Join Aeriosa Dance Artists for a progressive series using rope and harness systems to inspire your creativity while developing choreography on the ground and in the air. This choreographic lab will utilize the knowledge from the introductory course and focus on play, improvisation, collaboration, exploring movement quality, and creating choreography. We will take our warm up to the next level by learning a flowing warm up sequence on the ropes. Bring your curiosity for dance-making and expressive movement into the room while exploring solos, duets and trios in the harness at different heights.

Thank you Steph!

Over the past two years we’ve been hugely lucky to work with Stephanie Anketell as Aeriosa’s Managing Director. In this time Steph thoughtfully supported the company over a diversity of projects, deftly juggled dozens of different projects, and quickly became an intrinsic part of the team. As she now steps away from Aeriosa to pursue new opportunities, we share our deep appreciation and thanks for her exceptional work and wish her all the best on her future endeavors.

New partnership with New Works

We’re excited to share that Aeriosa has begun a new collaborative relationship with New Works, who will support the company with administration and management needs throughout the season. For the last 30+ years New Works has been an intrinsic part of Vancouver’s professional dance landscape, and offered management support to many different dance artists and small artist-led organizations. After multiple collaborations over the past 20 years including helping Aeriosa to become a non-profit society in 2005 and coproducing a large-scale work for the 2010 Cultural Olympiad, we are thrilled to be joining New Works’ current roster of partnerships and look forward to an exciting season together.
