VDP – Vertical Dance Pathways (2015 – 2018)

The Vertical Dance Centre, created by Fabrice Guillot – Cie Retouramont, wishes to lead a reflection on vertical dance as an innovative and major practice nowadays in collaboration with six other European and international vertical dance actors:
Aeriosa (Canada)
Fidget Feet (Ireland)
Gravity & Levity (Great Britain)
Histeria Nova (Croatia)
Il Posto (Italy)
Kate Lawrence (North Wales)
The first meeting took place in Ireland, hosted by the University of Limerick and Fidget Feet on November 5th-6th 2014. It focused on common interest and questions related to the practise, transmission and research.
The next meeting is scheduled for 3rd – 7th December 2015 in Starigrad Paklenica (Croatia) and will be hosted by Histeria Nova in collaboration with Paklenica National park and Tourist office Starigrad Paklenica. On this occasion, the group will focus on the topics of Safety, Security and Rigging in VD Practice.
