After a very successful first term of classes, Legs On The Wall is happy to announce a second term of weekly classes - this time with an added aerial twist! Led by the incredibly talented Rick Everett, we are offering you the chance to harness up and conquer the wall and perfect the art of handstand, tumbling and acrobalance.
There are three classes per week to choose from (or you can do them all!), catering to adults and teens (16+) of all levels so, whether you want to learn new skills or fine tune your existing ones, there is something for everyone.

HANDSTAND & CONDITIONING CLASSES
Using specific acrobatic conditioning exercises and drills, this class has a strong focus on improving handstand shape, acrobatic techniques and physical endurance. This is a fantastic way to build strength and gain confidence and body awareness.
Learn techniques, exercises and skills from both traditional and contemporary styles including: gymnastics, capoeira, breakdance, hand-balancing, partner tumbling, acrobalance, tricking, physical theatre and circus.
WHEN Mondays from 6.30pm - 8.30pm, May 5 - June 23, 2014 WHERE Legs on the Wall, 91 Canal Road, Lilyfield COST $280 for an 8 week term or $40 per class ACROBALANCE CLASSES This class will cover beginner to advanced acrobalance and adagio, pitching and sports acrobatics techniques in a safe and fun group environment. Learn all aspects of partner and group acrobatics, gain the strength, flexibility and lifting techniques to perform everything from simple floor moves to advanced overhead lifts, group pyramids and rolling combinations of acrobatic sequences.
Students will gain knowledge and body awareness through a range of acrobalance and core strength specific exercises designed to improve both their basing and flying techniques along with spotting techniques that will allow students to gain a truly hands-on acrobatic flying experience.

This class offers you a rare opportunity to undertake highly specialised training in the art of Wall Acrobatics. There is nothing quite like the feeling of running on walls and the exhilaration of stepping off the eight metre platform and onto the wall for the very first time! Once you have found your feet, you will re-learn how to walk, run and jump vertically. As you gain confidence you will learn to perform stunning acrobatic manoeuvres while suspended high above the watchers below.
No experience necessary but it is recommended that students have a reasonable level of fitness and the ability to set aside any concerns about height.

With over 24 years of dedicated training, Rick has reached an exceptional skill level across a vast range of disciplines that include tumbling, adagio, harness and bungee work and flying trapeze.
Rick's professional career has spanned over 17 years and he has worked with some of Australia's top national and international performing companies including: Legs On The Wall, Stalker Theatre and Opera Australia.
