been a red hot 15th year here at GL. It's been great to be busy on so
many awesome projects (more on that below) and we're excited about all
the activity we have coming up, including: the EADF's 10th birthday, UK
premiere of WHY, a Vertical Dance Summer Intensive, and Practical
Anatomy for Aerialists workshops before Autumn is out!
original creative team, choreographer Fin Walker, composer Ben Park and
dancers Lee Cayden and Lindsey Butcher have been back in the studio
re-imaging WHY alongside award winning writer, Ed Harris. The work's
International premiere was at the Irish Aerial Dance Festival 2019 and we're looking forward to the UK premiere at #EADF2019 which kickstarts the tour. The show at The Point is free and open to the public so please do join us!
Join us for an exciting 4-day intensive in Brighton at the Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts.
We’ll take time to work on developing and broadening technique before
shifting to a site specific approach in response to the unique and
unusual architecture and surroundings of this Grade 2 listed building.
We're thrilled to be hosting the amazing Emily Scherb, author of Applied Anatomy of the Aerial Arts and Aerial Physio,
for 'Anatomy for Aerialists', a day-long for aerialists. Its for
practitioners at all levels with an interest in learning how their
bodies work or the 'why' behind their training. Delivered in association
with National Centre for Circus Arts.
If you run events, training or
opportunities for aerial artists, let us know - we're keen to promote
all the fantastic opportunities with our international networks to make
amazing opportunities available to everyone. Equally, if you're looking
for events, training or opportunities, take a look at the listings!
